Helen Marie (Sally) McGraw, 91, of Hilltown, passed away peacefully December 9th in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Born on November 15, 1933, in Philadelphia to William and Helen Walter, Sally was raised an only child in the Fox Chase neighborhood of the city. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Jackson McGraw. Sally and Bob were married on June 24, 1955, several years after meeting on Long Beach Island, NJ. They had a wonderful marriage of 67 years, truly loving each other, their children, their grandchildren, and the life they built together. Sally was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Mimi), great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, gardening, playing the piano, listening to classical music, entertaining, playing bridge, antiquing, reading, and vacationing on Long Beach Island. She spent many enjoyable “Happy Hours” by the pool at her Bucks County farm, the family gathering spot for nearly 60 years. Sally also loved spending time with family and friends at the family cabin near Big Fishing Creek in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Before becoming a stay-at-home mother, Sally was a successful model and a member of the Models’ Guild of Philadelphia. She attended St. Cecilia School and Little Flower Catholic High School before matriculating at Temple University. With a kind and gentle spirit as well as an internal strength and resiliency that was belied by her outer beauty, Sally touched the lives of so many. She enjoyed a very special life-long bond with a group of women she knew from her earliest grade school days, considering them her most cherished friends. She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Janine McGraw Dolan, Rachael (“Randi”) McGraw Egan, and Leigh McGraw Beck (Jerry) and her grandchildren: Brendan, Kathleen, Mary, Kellen, Hannah, Liam and Melissa, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00.A.M., both at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 321 W Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914.
