It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra “Sandy” Beth Russo (nee Rosenkranz) announces her passing on Monday, May 11, 2020, at the age of 71. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Donald, Michael (Julia), and Brian (Jennifer). Sandy will also be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Kenley, Leyna, and Matthew; her brothers, Allen and David; her sister-in-law, Delores; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Sandy was born on June 20, 1948, in New Jersey and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1966. In 1968, she married Donald Russo. After marriage, Sandy was a quilting instructor, while her husband, Donald, was an engineer. Sandy’s interests included quilting, gardening, photography, and travel. Along with her family, she traveled extensively and documented much of it with her photography. An avid gardener, Sandy worked part-time at a nursery, as well as cultivated her own home garden. She was also a gifted quilter, and many friends and family are lucky to have handmade quilts from Sandy. Sandy devoted much of her time and energy to her family, including caregiving for her mother and mother-in-law until their respective passing, and later in life, she was brought much joy by spending time with her three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Donald, and her parents, Minnie and Elmer. A private funeral service will be held in memory of Sandy on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Bensalem, PA. Internment will follow at the family plot in Bellmawr, NJ.
