Scott R. Hennigar

Scott Raymond Hennigar passed away on Thursday, February 15,2024 at the age of 72.

He was born in Philadelphia to the late Florence E. ( nee McLaughlin) and Marvin A. Hennigar. Scott spent most of his life living in Bensalem, but moved to rural Virginia 20 years ago to enjoy a simpler life.

As a young child, you could always find Scott digging in the dirt and planting gardens, He was so happy to start working at Vattimo's Greenhouse and Nursery at the young age of 14 Working at the greenhouse cemented his decision to study Horticulture at the Vo-Tech school while also going to Bensalem High School. Scott graduated in 1969.

Scott had several jobs throughout his career. He worked at several florists and nurseries. For many years, he also worked for Seafood Shanty Restaurants starting in the maintenance department and eventually bartending at the Langhorne and Warrington locations. Scott was a good bartender and great friend to many.

Throughout his life, Scott was a dedicated care giver. He had the utmost respect for all life- plant, animal or human especially the small and vulnerable. Scott took in and nurtured countless stray animals of all kinds.

In Scott's free time, he would watch countless Sci-Fi movies or could be found sitting outside soaking up the sunshine.

Scott was the loving brother of Mark Hennigar (Dale), Doreen Pietropoli (Richard), Marsha Yates ( Robert), Jill Wible (John) and the late Craig E Hennigar.He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
