Sharon Giovanelli, born on November 28, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Barnett and Frances (nee Luterman), passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 81. A beloved member of her family and community, Sharon dedicated her life to those she loved and her work as a bank teller at Mellon Bank, where she served with kindness and dedication.
Sharon is survived by her loving children: Faith Seiberlich (Michael), Jeffrey Friedman, Lee Friedman (Anna), Michelle Giovannelli (Denise), and Stephen Giovannelli, as well as her grandchildren, Felicia Friedman, Joyce Gregory (Jay), Andrew Friedman, Alyssa Friedman, Kyle Seiberlich, Anthony Seiberlich, Sara Seiberlich, Michael Seiberlich, Michael Giovannelli, Thomas Giovannelli, Stephen Giovannelli, and Madison Giovannelli, and her great grandchildren, Gianna Acosta and Jonathan Acosta. She will be deeply missed by her brother, Allen Saft and many nieces and nephews. Her warmth, creativity, and passion for life touched the hearts of all who knew her. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her son, Anthony (Kathy), and her sister, Rochelle Skelton.
Sharon was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, finding joy in cheering for her favorite players. She had a remarkable talent for drawing and painting, often expressing her artistic soul through her creations. A passionate cook, Sharon particularly loved baking, filling her home with delightful aromas and delicious treats. Her love for animals, especially dogs and birds, also played a significant part in her life, bringing her comfort and companionship.
Funeral services will be held at St. Ephrem Church in Bensalem, PA, on January 30, 2025. There will be a public viewing starting at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Following the Mass, Sharon will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her spirit will live on in the cherished memories she created and the love she shared with all who knew her.
