Shirley M. Kelly

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley M. (Monica) Kelly, who left us peacefully on Wednesday June 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Shirley was born on February 24, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ann Marie (Sitarski) and Carman Monica and spent many joyous years in Philadelphia, where she created countless cherished memories with her family.

As a devoted housekeeper at Frankford Hospital, Shirley dedicated her life to caring for others, a reflection of her kind and nurturing spirit. She took immense pride in her home and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as tending to her beautiful garden, making her famous gravy with meatballs which we all enjoyed especially Jordyn, and of course hoping for a lucky break with her lottery tickets.

Above all, Shirley found her greatest joy in her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her sons, Charles T. Kelly, Jr (Josie) and Christopher M Kelly (Kristina). Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, Justin and Jordyn Kelly, who brought her endless happiness and laughter. Shirley is also survived by dear sister, Dolores Wurst (The late Leonard); Her companion Ray Lees who she could always count on a phone call from at 7:00 pm for the lottery numbers; Her neighbor Tammy and her children, who Shirley always considered as family; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was also preceded in death by her late husband Charles T. Kelly, Sr and many loving siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday June 12, 2025, from 1 to 2 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 2 PM.
