Stanley George Alexander, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on August 14, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 3, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late William and Rose (nee Fox) Alexander, Stanley lived a life filled with passion, love, and commitment to his family and community.
Stanley was a dedicated mechanic, working for Dow Chemical for over 30 years, where his skills and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues. A proud member of Local 88, he exemplified the values of hard work and perseverance. Stanley had also proudly served in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty.
He was a loving father to his three daughters: Angelina Alexander (Jason), Melissa Alexander (John), and Joanna Parkinson (Alex). Stanley cherished his role as a father and took immense joy in attending and coaching his children’s sports, especially softball. He fostered in them a sense of teamwork and dedication that they carry with them still. He also found great joy in his role as a grandfather to Maeve Bregenzer, who brought a bright light into his life. Stanley will also be deeply missed by his beloved grand-dogs, Maggie, Wanda, and Roman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, and his brothers William Alexander (Barbara) and John Alexander.
Beyond family, Stanley had a passion for fishing and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, often sharing his love of the game with those around him. His friendships, especially his connection with the "Friends of Bill," provided him with deep camaraderie and support throughout his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stanley’s visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Thursday, August 212025 from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by his service at 11:00 Am. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
The family encourages everyone who knew Stanley to join them in celebrating his life and the joyful moments they shared. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his loving nature, dedication, and the warmth he brought into the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and an unwavering spirit.
