Stephanie Mary Gleave, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 20, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Francis and Tilla (nee Jenkins), Stephanie dedicated her life to nurturing her family and serving her community as a devoted teacher's aide in the Bensalem School District.
Anyone who knew Steph knew that the only thing bigger than her mouth was her heart. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family and nothing brought her more joy than the annual summer vacations to Sea Isle City, her home away from home, where she enjoyed crocheting and watching the hummingbirds.
Another beloved tradition was Craft Weekend, when all her beloved grandchildren (plus some!) would gather into her home before Christmas to spend the weekend surrounded by glue, glitter and endless laughter. Her grandchildren will never forget the magical moments she created and the love she gave them.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Gleave; her son, Francis Formichelli (the late Rachelle), her daughter, Pamela Gleave, and her son, Sean Gleave and daughter-in-law, Kate Gleave and her grandchildren, Kate, Madison, Gavin, Sara, Maggie, Lily, and Grace. She also leaves behind her dear brothers, Andrew Haskell (Deborah) and Edward Haskell (Kathy), Stephanie's family will forever cherish her memory and the love she imparted. She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Thomas, as well as her brother, Patrick.
Friends and family are invited to join together in remembrance and celebration of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many. Her viewing will take place at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Monday, May 12th from 6:00-7:00 PM followed by her service at 7:00 PM. Interment will occur on May 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Anyone attending the interment should arrive no later than 8:45 AM.
In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew and loved Stephanie to reflect on the joy she brought into their lives and to celebrate the beauty she found in the world. Her spirit will continue to live on through the love she shared and the memories she created, forever held in our hearts.
