In Loving Memory of Stephanie Toloczko Vandegrift

September 20, 1948 - June 8, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing Stephanie Toloczko Vandegrift, who departed this world after a courageous battle with breast cancer on June 8, 2025. Her battle with breast cancer was fought with fierce determination and an indomitable spirit.

Stephanie had many passions. She was an avid gardener with extensive knowledge of local plants and flowers. She inherited her keen eye and love for all things antique from her father who honed her appreciation of vintage craftsmanship. Stephanie had a particular soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially cats, and she donated generously to charities that supported the care of them. Travelling the United States brought her great joy and she often expressed that being in the mountains brought her the most peace. Music, especially that of Il Volo, comforted her during the many hours at the hospital while she was receiving treatment. And on the few occasions when she was able, she attended live concerts by the group when they performed in New Jersey. These were some of her most cherished memories towards the end of her life.

She leaves behind a loving extended family and many friends and although her absence creates a void, her love and the memories she created will remain eternal.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, technicians and social workers at Holy Redeemer Hospital for their unparalleled kindness in caring for Stephanie during her arduous cancer journey. She had the utmost trust in and respect for all of them.

A celebration of her life will be held at a future date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, honor her legacy, and find comfort in one another. If you would like to be notified of the date and location, please send an email to stephvan48@gmail.com.

May she rest in peace, her spirit forever intertwined with the lives she touched. Her love and strength will never be forgotten.
