Stephen J, Craven

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen J. Craven, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, who left this world peacefully on September 7, 2025, at the age of 63. Stephen was born on March 22, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph and Anna May (nee St. John) Craven. As a lifelong resident of Andalusia he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Stephen worked as a Union Laborer for over forty years in the construction industry, dedicating many years to local construction companies, and ending his career with D'Andrea Concrete. He took pride in his work and was respected by his peers and colleagues alike. A proud member of the Veterans of Andalusia and the Emerald Society, Stephen cherished his connections to his community and the friendships forged through shared experiences.

Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Craven; his sons, Stephen Craven and Daniel Bowe (Florence); his daughter Amanda McConnell; his grandchildren, Aiden, Billie, Brody, and Hazel; his sister Kathleen Waters (Dean); and his brother Joseph Craven (Nancy). He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his warm spirit and infectious laughter. Stephen was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia McCloskey (Thomas).

An avid sports enthusiast, Stephen enjoyed watching his favorite teams, particularly the Philadelphia Eagles, and he brought joy to gatherings with his lively discussions about the games.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stephen’s visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Monday, September 15th from 6:00-8:00 PM. A second visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Tuesday, September 16th from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by his Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.

We invite all who knew Stephen to join us in celebrating his life, sharing stories, and remembering the many ways he touched our lives and made us laugh. In these difficult times, may we all find comfort in one another and cherish the beautiful memories that we hold close.

Stephen will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
