With extremely heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Terry Lachman on October 23, 2024, after a year long battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph and Anna Mae Lachman, Terry dedicated his life to serving his community as a respected Police Officer and Detective in Bensalem and finished his career as a Detective for the Bucks County DA’s office until his retirement. Described as a true professional, often noted for being the best dressed, Terry's commitment to law enforcement and justice was unparalleled.
Outside of his esteemed career, Terry was an avid sports lover always rooting for his Philly home teams and his alma mater, Penn State. His other interests included scuba diving, a love for golfing and being a true foodie in every sense of the word. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Terry is survived by his loving spouse, Janice Lachman, his brother, Jerry Lachman (Pimvat), sister-in-law, Lynnette Blanton (Jay), and brother-in-law, Bob Zack. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews, whom he adored. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and colleagues.
A public visitation will be held at St. Ephrem Church, 5401 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Saturday, November 16th from 9:30 -11:00 AM followed by a Mass in Terry’s honor at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
During this difficult time, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Terry and the impact he had on all our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they navigate this loss. Terry's dedication to justice and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, Terry Lachman.
