Walter “Babe” Gosik, Jr. of Bensalem passed away on his 86th birthday, Tuesday, October 5, 2021at his residence. Walt was born in Philadelphia and was a resident of Bensalem for the last 66 years. He was a graduate of Frankford High School. Walt worked for Bensalem Township as a maintenance technician for 20 years and previously with the Eaton Yale & Towne Company for 31 years as a tool and dye maker. He was a member of the Bristol Homing Pigeon Society and known as a world renown pigeon flyerand was a former coach with the Bensalem Ramblers for over 12 years, coaching youth baseball and football. He was an avid Penn State and Notre Dame football fan. He also enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and spending time with his family. Walter will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 66 years, Marie (Yancer) Gosik. He is also survived by his 5 loving children: Donna Kantruss (Laird), Renee Gosik (Chris Wheeler), Debra Heath (David), Mark Gosik (Donna Jean) and Jason Gosik (Karen); His siblings: Geri Bowe (Jack), Marlene Jones and Barbara Simonovitch; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Walt was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr., and Sophie (Dudek) Gosik and his sister, Arlene Gardyan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Thursday October 14, 2021, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.
