Walter H. Hope, Jr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter H. Hope, Jr., who left us peacefully on Wednesday January 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 1, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Edna Mae (Roller) and Walter H. Hope, Sr. He was a resident of Bensalem for the past 46 years.

Walter was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he dedicated over 30 years to SEPTA, where he worked as a train operator and held various positions throughout his career, earning the respect of many along the way. 

As a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Walter had a passion for sports that was only matched by his love for family. He cherished every moment spent watching games, and he found joy in sharing those experiences with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included watching horse races at PARX, relishing time on the water boating and fishing, and enjoying the simple pleasures that life had to offer.

Walter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angela D. Hope. He is survived by his loving children: Walter H. Hope III (Karen), Linda Weber (George), Michael Hope (Fiancé Charlene), and Lisa Hope (Erjohn). He also leaves behind his brother Frank Ryan, nine grandchildren—Michelle, Matthew, Megan, Jason, Christina, Brian, Nicole, Michaela, and Aidan—and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday February 7, 2026 from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
