Walter Meyerle, Jr.

Walter Meyerle Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, found lasting peace on September 17, 2026, at the age of 72, in Croydon, Pennsylvania. Born on October 6, 1953, at Fort Dix, New Jersey, to the late Walter Sr. and Alice (nee Bartle) Meyerle, Walter proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His service instilled in him a profound sense of duty and dedication that he carried throughout his life.

Walter was a dedicated truck driver, contributing his skills and hard work to his employers within the transportation industry throughout his career. His commitment to his profession was only surpassed by his love for his family. He is survived by his cherished wife of 51 years, Tina Meyerle; He was a devoted father to his sons, Walter and Keith Meyerle, (the late) Patrick Verrecchia and his daughter-in-law Beverly; along with his brother, Patrick Meyerle. Walter was also a proud grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy for his six beloved grandchildren. (Gage, Jetta, Gavin, Gracie, Gannah and Brie), along with his “claimed” grandchildren; Jason, Aleah and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny and Dennis.

Walter loved spending time with his family. Whether it be game night, skating, putting puzzles together, cooking and baking Christmas cookies. He enjoyed going to the shore and spending time fishing and crabbing.

In addition to his professional achievements, Walter was an active member of the Uptown and Greater Kensington String Bands, sharing his musical talents and passion with friends and community. His laughter and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Walter’s viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, September 25th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM followed by his service at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
