William Henry Bittner

William H. Bittner Sr., of Bensalem, passed away on August 15th. He was 85 years old. William was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked 35+ years at Sears/Signal delivery, 20 years of service at ETG Auto Supply and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Jeopardy, reading and being challenged with difficult crossword puzzles. Bill also had many fun hobbies: being a singer (at the Latin Casino and Grand Old Opry), dancing, an avid Bonsai enthusiast, boxing, going to antique shops, markets, and the beach. He was a very active member of Somerdale Sports (basketball and football). While in the navy, William traveled every ocean and many seas. His most favorite times were shared with his family and friends enjoying life. William will be deeply missed by his companion, May Moran, his children: William Bittner Jr. (Tina McCoy), James Bittner (Kathleen), Deborah Murphy (James), Lisa Dailey Eucker (Tom), his grandchildren: Hannah Bittner, Kathleen Murphy (Tom), Courtney Comly (Brian), Mallory, Kelsey and Matthew Dailey and great grandchildren: Thomas, Connor and Cora. William was preceded in death by his son, David Bittner, and his sister, Anne Bittner. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940 on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 at precisely 10:00 AM. Anyone attending should arrive at the cemetery no later than 9:45 AM.
