William Burke, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on September 12, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia on January 14, 1941, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Burke.
William led a fulfilling life as a dedicated truck driver, showcasing his strong work ethic and reliability. His love for the open road was matched only by his love for his family. William was also a warehouse manager and bartender. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Burke, his children Walter Friedrich, Johanna Baltes (Peter) and Jeffrey Burke who passed away in 2014. His siblings Margaret Gardner, Mary Monaghan, John Burke, and Thomas Burke, as well as his cherished grandchildren Zen Baltes, Sebastian Baltes, Jesse Friedrich, Julia Friedrich, and Abigail Michalik.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, William's kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. His memory will be treasured by those who had the privilege of sharing in his life. William loved to joke around with his friends and family, watch movies with his grandchildren, especially Home Alone and Indiana Jones.
In the time of mourning, please join us as we celebrate the life of William Burke, a devoted family man whose legacy will forever endure in our hearts.
