William J. Frizzle

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William J. Frizzle, known fondly as Bill, who left this world peacefully on December 26, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Helen (Walters) and John Frizzle and was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia.

Bill was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary (Reynolds) Frizzle, and a cherished father to his daughter, Theresa Fizzle (Fiancé Dennis Zaporowski). He was also a proud brother to Helen Polcino. Family was everything to Bill, and his warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bill was preceded in death by his siblings Thomas, John, Charles, Robert, Francis, Margaret (Stewart) and Mary.

Bill, for 30yrs he worked at Phila. Steel and Wire while simultaneously working at Quick and Clean Carwash in Bensalem. For an additional 20yrs he worked at the carwash as the full-time manager. He retired at 70 yrs old to spend time with family and friends.

He took great joy in playing Santa Clause for many years at schools, orphanages and in many people’s homes. Never to be seen in his Santa suit drinking and eating anything but milk and cookies so as not to ruin the fantasy for any children. Bill looked forward every year to watching the New Year's Day Mummers Parade. He loved doing the mummers strut to "Oh Dem Golden Slippers" while either at home on New Years Day or when playing at a celebration. Bill enjoyed making fun bets with friends and relatives on the Phila. Eagles games. He was a very funny man who took pleasure in making people laugh by either recalling past stories, telling jokes or wearing funny clothing. Bill was very gentle man with a heart of love filled that a room. A proud US Army veteran, Bill served his country Honorably.
