William J. Montgomery

William J. Montgomery age 82 of Bensalem, died Wednesday December 1, 2021 at his home. Born in Philadelphia and resident of Bensalem since 1950. After graduating from high school, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army. After serving his country, he enrolled in the 5 year apprenticeship program with the Steamfitter Union Local #420. He was employed with the Steamfitter Local #420 for 50 years before retiring in 1996. Member of the Local #420 Retirees Association. He was also a member of the Delaware Valley Wood Carving Club and the National Woodcarvers. Bill was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Jean C. (Mundy) Montgomery and father of the late Paul Montgomery. He will be sadly missed by his son, William Montgomery and his daughter-in-law Lori Lex (John). Brother-in-law of Mary Jane Duffy and Nancy Rothberg. Bill is survived by 3 grandchildren; Jonathan, Kaitlyn and William and I great grandchild Dominick. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Nicole. He is also survived by his dearest friends Lillian Ivins and Regina Karley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday 10:00 am at St. Ephrem Church 5400 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by his funeral Mass at 11:00am.
