On the evening of September 5, 2021, William A. Thompson III sadly passed away at Grand Villa in Englewood. Fl. He was the loving and charismatic husband of Janice C. (Festa) for the last 63 years. Bill was born in Philadelphia, and a resident of Bensalem for over 40 years. He was 83 years old. Bill was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served as a Police Officer in Bensalem for 27 years. After retiring, he returned to the Bensalem Police Department as a Community Service officer in charge of evidence. Bill had a kind working relationship with his coworkers. He enjoyed road trips in South Florida, eating in restaurants with Janice, and meeting new people. Bill was known to be a great storyteller. He is survived by his son, William A. Thompson IV, who grew up in a loving relationship with his Dad. He is also survived by his siblings: Dorothy Fisher, Loretta Bearl, and Charles Thompson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives are friends are invited to celebrate Bill’s life on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by his Service at 11:00 AM, which will be conducted by Pastor John Schillack of Calvary Memorial Church of Philadelphia.
